Ticket Information

Event COVID-19 Safety Procedures

Last year, many of you were able to enjoy a safe, outdoor light show experience. We heard from numerous guests that the 2020 light show was their first visit to the Garden and a way for many guests to see family and friends outdoors for the first time in months. Thank you for helping us continue this annual holiday tradition in our community!

We're confident we can maintain a high level of satisfaction with the safety protocols we'll have in place for WPS Garden of Lights. All event decisions regarding guest, staff, and volunteer safety have been made under the advisement of the Brown County Public Health Department.

We are implementing the following to offer a safe experience:

  • Dated and timed entry tickets must be purchased in advance.
  • Limited capacity per night spread out over a 4.5-hour period to limit gatherings in enclosed spaces.
  • Parking available onsite and overflow parking within walking distance so guests do not have to ride shuttle buses in close contact with others.
  • Face coverings are strongly recommended for all guests in Garden buildings (ages 2 and up) and outdoors when physical distancing isn't possible (subject to change).
  • Limited seating on horse–drawn wagon rides. Face coverings strongly recommended while on the wagon.
  • One–way entry and exit points.
  • COVID-19 Policy: If you have COVID–19 symptoms, or someone in your household tested positive for COVID–19, or you or someone in your household is waiting on test results, and it is less than 72 hours before your event night, please do not attend the event. Email the Garden at info@gbbg.org when you can safely attend based on your doctor's guidance to reschedule your tickets.

"Face covering" means a piece of cloth or other material that is worn to cover the nose and mouth completely. A "face covering" includes but is not limited to a bandana, a cloth face mask, a disposable or paper mask, a neck gaiter, or a religious face covering.A "face covering" does not include face shields, mesh masks, masks with holes or openings, or masks with vents.

Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides

There is limited seating on the horse–drawn wagon rides with limited availability each night. No more than 10 guests per wagon (maximum of three households) are allowed. Face coverings are strongly recommended while on the wagon. Guests will walk the upper level light show and head down the hill to the horse-drawn wagon which covers the lower level mulch portion of the light show.

Wagons are first come, first served when you arrive during selected entrance time. Tickets for the horse-drawn wagon ride must be purchased in advance. Walking tickets cannot be upgraded at the door.

GENERAL

Do you walk or drive through the lights?

WPS Garden of Lights is a walk-through show. We encourage guests to dress accordingly with weather-appropriate footwear and clothing. Families who wish to walk the mulched path with small children will need an all-terrain type stroller or pull-along wagon. The walk through the light show is just under a mile (0.85).

How long does it take to see the lights?

As long as you like, but typically 30-45 minutes for the walking tour. The walk through the light show is just under a mile (0.85). Horse-drawn wagon rides last about 10-15 minutes. Wagons are first come, first serve when you arrive during your entrance time. We recommend you get down to the wagons within 30 minutes of your entrance time and no later than 7 pm.

When is the best time to visit?

Buy your dated and timed tickets well in advance, as we anticipate selling out on Saturdays and on dates near the holidays. We recommend Value Nights as they typically don't sell out.

Please remember we are closed November 25 and December 20, 21, 22, 24, 25, & 31.

Can I bring in refreshments and what kind of refreshments are available?

Carry-ins are not allowed. A variety of individually packaged food and beverages are available in our Concessions Building at the WPS Foundation Plaza including: individually wrapped cookies, candy bars, chips, hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee, water, soda, beer, wine, and shots such as Peppermint Schnapps or Baileys to compliment a hot beverage. Please bring ID for the purchase of alcoholic beverages.

Can I bring my pet?

Service animals are welcome, but please leave pets and Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) at home. Please let us know you have a service animal when you arrive so we can make our staff aware. View frequently asked questions about service animals and the ADA.

What happens if the weather is bad?

We think a little snow adds to the beauty of the event, but of course, if the weather presents a hazard, the Garden's decision to cancel the event will be made at 2 pm on the day of the event. You will be notified via email of any cancelation and about the rescheduling process. Also, please check our website and Facebook page for updates.

There are restrooms in the Fischer Visitor Center and halfway through the light show at the Concessions Building featuring the WPS Foundation Plaza. Face coverings are strongly recommended for all guests in Garden buildings (ages 2 and up).
